DEPARTMENT: People & Technology
The People and Technology Department is comprised of three teams:
The People & Strategy team looks to support our employees across all stages of the employee lifecycle and elevate the employee experience. This includes managing full-cycle recruitment, job evaluation, policies & procedures employee compensation and benefits, rewards and recognition, learning & development, and employee engagement initiatives.
The Infrastructure team manages the physical assets of Doctors of BC related to the building, office equipment, and maintenance of the building. The team also responds and provides resolution to any issues concerning office equipment, furniture, security, first-aid, and building maintenance. They play an active role within the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, ‘green’ initiatives, and support on-site meetings including the facilitation of catering and room configurations.
The Information Technology team drives organizational change by providing technical solutions to the employees of Doctors of BC. With a focus on proactive customer service and leveraging technology to achieve business outcomes, the Information Technology team is a strategic business partner.
THE TEAM: Information Technology Team
The Information Technology team is responsible for the selection, implementation, integration, and support of the technology solutions that contribute to the achievement of Doctors of BC's mission and goals. The team provides technology support to employees, including computer hardware, applications, cloud technologies and cybersecurity solutions, in addition to specific technology support for the Divisions of Family Practice and Medical Staff Associations.
THE JOB: Sr. Project Manager, Information Technology
Reporting to the PMO Manager, the Sr. Project Manager (SPM), Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of all assigned projects. This includes planning, executing, monitoring schedules, anticipating, and mitigating risks, managing resources, and reporting. The SPM maintains detailed plans throughout the project life cycle, takes account of dependencies, coordinates with cross-disciplinary teams and stakeholders, and works with external vendors to ensure all projects deliver on the expected business outcomes.
In addition, the SPM recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures, evaluates trends, anticipates requirements, and contributes to process improvement initiatives as it relates to project delivery. With a focus on digital transformation and a cloud-first mandate, the SPM will play a vital role in implementing software solutions that improve the employee and member experience across Doctors of BC.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience implementing a customer relationship management system like Salesforce would be an asset.
- Program management experience and or a PMP certification in good standing.
- Experience setting and managing stakeholders’ expectations by aligning project objectives with the broader organizational goals.
- Ability to benchmark project management performance continually to identify potential improvements and increase capabilities in project and program management.
- Experience leading and inspiring diverse teams to work collaboratively in an iterative environment to achieve project goals.
- Ten years of progressive and relevant experience implementing software solutions and a university degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
