They have partnered exclusively with Robert Half in their search for an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to lead them through some major changes including the release of new technologies and service offerings that they expect will lead to rapid growth.
Process creation, strategy execution and people focus lie at the heart of this position. With their head office located here in Edmonton, this organization has garnered local recognition for some of their services, some yet to be released publicly. Reporting to the COO and President, you will be responsible for ensuring Operations run smooth and that the people doing the jobs are working hard to achieve a common vision.
How you will make an impact in this role:
- Forecast future needs of clients and proactively strategize solutions
- Oversee, empower and inspire a team of Field Supervisors and Project Managers while assisting with their career development
- Pursue, achieve and exceed cost, revenue and margin targets; develop contingency plans to overcome known and potential obstacles and ensure the achievement of financial and other business goals.
- Work with President and HR leadership to develop long term strategy development and objectives
- Establish and manage challenging goals, objectives and strategies for improvements in current operations, including existing policy and procedures implementation and operations management in the areas of operational techniques, quality, cost reduction, streamlined processes and performance measurement
Requirements for the role:
- Experience with Civil earth works considered an asset
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, fleet management and preventative maintenance
- 10+ years managing Construction Operations
- Experience with project management
Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered
