What you’ll do
- Update and maintain Workday configuration, create, and execute test cases and maintain master data values, notifications, and tenant-wide settings.
- Function as the Workday System SME in the area of compensation and benefits to internal HR functional partners.
- Lead and manage various types and levels of testing in the and related areas of workday compensation and benefits, such as unit testing, end-to-end testing, user acceptance and regression testing.
- Act as a Workday subject matter expert for the Compensation and Benefits functional areas
- Understand the cross functional interactions and points of impact with compensation and benefits and the other modules/functional areas.
- Actively participate in Workday Community to ensure awareness of current trends and new features.
- Support annual compensation and benefit programs, such as annual compensation cycles, benefit enrollment, performance cycle and other total rewards related and impacted enterprise initiatives.
- Lead the development and maintenance of standard operation procedures (SOP), quick reference guides (QRG) and relevant training materials in the areas of Workday compensation and benefits.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of benefit configurations, including but not limited to relevant condition & eligibility rules, benefit plans, groups, coverage target, related business process, notification, etc.
- Support developing regular or ad-hoc reports as required.
- Support the successful execution of Workday’s semi-annual releases to deliver new functionality and enhancements.
- Partner with the total rewards functional team to review business requirements, recommend process improvements, and deploy system enhancements.
- Collaborate with 3rd party integrations team and ensure seamless data flow between Workday, internal and external downstream applications and vendors.
- Collaborate with functional and technical partners to streamline and improve processes/provide recommendations.
- Support the maintenance and enhancements of compensation configuration, including but not limited to relevant condition & eligibility rules, various compensation plans, grades, steps, job profiles, various compensation processes, related business process, notifications, etc
- Build, test, and upload Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) mass data uploads as needed.
- Work closely with technical partners to troubleshoot and resolve any integration issues, ensuring accurate and timely data flow between systems, vendors and external providers.
What you bring
- Knowledge and exposure to benefits provider such as Sunlife.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and resolve complex, multi-dimensional problems.
- Knowledge and exposure across all Workday HCM modules and Workday payroll are desired with focus in time tracking, recruiting and benefits.
- Knowledge and exposure in retail and hourly workforce are desired.
- Workday Compensation certification is required, and benefits certification is desired.
- Understanding of HR processes and data
- 2 - 5 years of Workday experience across all HCM modules and payroll with focus in compensation and benefits.
