Security Analyst, Data Protection and Compliance, Brampton, ON


In this role working with the Senior Manager Vulnerability Management and Compliance. The Security Analyst will play a key role in different stages of the DLP program: starting from monitoring alerts, investigating, risk analysis, reporting and integrating the DLP tools with different technologies. You will work with technology and infrastructure leaders from across the Loblaw family of companies and key suppliers, partners, vendors, and managed service providers.


What You’ll Do:


  • Acknowledge, triage, remediate DLP alerts to support the enhancement / improvement / tuning of existing policies and resolve additional controls.
  • Assess summarize and call out potential breaches to leadership.
  • Prioritize and detail incident management from initiation to completion.
  • Assist with the development of other operational / project documentation.
  • Provide support to other teams within the broader Risk Management Group, as needed.
  • Generate reports on PowerBI or on MS Excel for different teams.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal business customers and external suppliers.


What You Bring:


  • (PowerShell, Bash, Python) ability to design the scripts using API call to various secure tools
  • Microsoft data protection technologies embedded to Office365, Cloud Application Security Azure.
  • Email Data Loss Prevention solutions like Proofpoint and Symantec.
  • Industry certifications (ISC2: CISSP, CCSP; ISACA: CISM; SANS: GSEC, GCIA, GMON) are strong asset
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Proven Experience in Information Technology
  • Knowledge of:
  • Authentication, Windows and Linux hardening, CIS benchmark.
  • Antivirus, Data Loss Prevention and Endpoint protection tools like Symantec DLP, Forcepoint, McAfee DLP. Knowledge and experience in endpoint protection and response (EDR) tools like Crowdstrike, Cortex XDR, Windows Defender EDR.
  • MS SQL database
