Security Compliance Specialist Jobs

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Compliance Specialist who will also be responsible for overseeing our security personnel. In this role, you will not only ensure the company's adherence to security standards and regulations but also manage and coordinate the activities of our security personnel, ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, assets, and employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security compliance, risk management, and personnel management, along with a deep understanding of security practices, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement appropriate security controls and measures to mitigate identified risks and ensure compliance with standards.
• Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to proactively identify potential risks and recommend appropriate preventive measures for both physical and information security.
• Manage security vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and compliance oversight, as applicable.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive security compliance program that encompasses both information security and physical security domains, aligning with industry best practices and applicable regulations.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines for security personnel, ensuring they are aligned with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of security personnel operations and compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Oversee the management and coordination of security personnel, including security guards, access control personnel, and other security staff, ensuring they are properly trained, equipped, and deployed to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Ensure proper incident reporting and response protocols are in place, coordinating with security personnel to promptly and effectively respond to security incidents, breaches, or emergencies.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities across the organization's infrastructure, systems, processes, and physical premises.
• Maintain records and documentation related to security compliance activities, personnel management, incident reports, and audit findings.
• Collaborate with HR and legal departments to ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and guidelines related to security personnel, including background checks, training requirements, and licensing.
• Provide guidance and support to various teams within the organization, including HR, facilities, IT, and compliance, regarding security-related matters and personnel management.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and other applicable frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and coordinating security personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of security technologies, network architecture, access control systems, and CCTV surveillance is a plus.
• Strong understanding of security risk assessment methodologies and techniques.
• Familiarity with security controls, vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness programs.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CPP) are highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of security compliance frameworks, regulations, and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS), including their application to both information security and physical security domains.
• Proven experience in security compliance, risk management, and personnel management within a corporate or organizational setting.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and security personnel.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
