The Information Security Specialist is responsible for overseeing information security, cybersecurity and information technology risk management and education programs based onindustry-accepted information security and risk management frameworks. This individual will be anintegral part of the Information Technology Department reporting directly to Manager of Information Technology to help improveand communicate the maturity levels of information security, state of cybersecurity and IT risk practices across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a diploma in computing science, or information technology, and possess their Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other comparable information security certifications. Demonstrated experience with the development of educational programs in the area of security awareness, with a strong knowledge of IT processes and controls, and understanding ofrisk and control frameworks (CoBIT, ISO, NIST, ITIL, PCI) is prefered. An understanding and knowledge of incident response, as well familiarity with the core concepts of firewalls and networking is a must. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of personality types coupled with a strong political acuity is required. The successful applicant must be current with a variety of Operating Systems and the use of Azure environments.You must be comfortable leading the development, implementation and testing of Incident Response Plans for various departments and the corporation. A valid G-class driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is also required.

The salary range for this position is $85,558.20 to $94,348.80 based on a 35-hour work week and includes a comprehensive benefit plan.
