Privacy And Data Protection Specialist Jobs

Extensive experience with large-scale data related implementations following project management frameworks in both Waterfall and Agile (5+ years)

Experience developing privacy solutions which would include designing/creating/optimizing complex assessment templates, workflows, and/or Incident and data attributes.

Experience with Cross Platform integrations including alternate enterprise platforms and external sources and where necessary designing and development of APIs

Experience in and around consumer privacy and security—particularly with privacy-preserving strategies like encryption, data minimization, consent, data retention.

Background / previous work experience in the retail space is an asset.

[Nice-to-have] Privacy-related certifications, such as IAPP’s CIP/C, CIPM, CIPT, etc.

Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to assimilate to new knowledge.

Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.

Knowledge and 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of data analytics methods

Solid knowledge and experience presenting using MS Power Point, Excel and Visio.

Practical experience with conducting risk assessments and testing of data protection and privacy controls

Prioritize and detail incident management from initiation to completion.

Provide support to other teams within the broader Risk Management Group, as needed.

Acknowledge, triage, remediate DLP alerts to support the enhancement / improvement / tuning of existing policies and resolve additional controls.

Proven Experience in Information Technology

Industry certifications (ISC2: CISSP, CCSP; ISACA: CISM; SANS: GSEC, GCIA, GMON) are strong asset

Establish and maintain relationships with key internal business customers and external suppliers.

- Experience with symmetric and asymmetric encryption, certificate and key management, masking, and tokenization

- Experience with creating remediation plans for unstructured data, structured data, and data within a cloud environment

- Experience with using MIP (Microsoft Information Protection), and BigID

- Experience with Veronis, the primary tool the team currently uses to do data discovery and classification

- Experience with TDE (transport data encryption)

- Experience with Microsoft Purview

Preparing and updating the annual compliance policies and legislation for senior management.

Conducting research on special topics as directed by the Manager.

A privacy industry expert – you possess the knowledge and understanding of current practices, legislation and regulations of financial institutions

Post Secondary Education/Diploma (Business or related discipline)

Bank & Credit Union regulatory knowledge

Manages, coordinates and conducts privacy auditing and monitoring activities

Manages and contributes to the development and administration of NH privacy and FOI framework, policies and procedures

Minimum 3-5 years related experience in the privacy/FOI field

Privacy Certification from recognized association for privacy and freedom of information professionals (IAPP Canadian Certification (CIPP/C) preferred

Experience implementing privacy management programs

Document, prioritize, and communicate clear privacy requirements for product initiatives and releases

At least 10 years of relevant privacy, data protection, and compliance experience

Experience with incidents and data breaches

Skilled negotiator with deep transactional expertise

Experience working closely with clients and successfully managing client relationships
