What will be your tasks?

  • You will ensure the implementation of the group-wide and division-specific People & Culture strategy as well as the defined actions, targets and standards (Digital HR, Employer Branding & HR Marketing, Talent Acquisition & Recruiting as well as Culture, Learning & Development)
  • You will standardize processes, systems and guidelines to reduce risks and to ensure compliance
  • You will take over the human resources management of the divisions Air & Ocean and Warehousing Solutions in North America.
  • You will lead all regional and local HR Matrix functions of the Region North America; set performance standards for evaluating local HR teams in your region and ensure high performance
  • You will design and implement company policies that promote a healthy work environment.
  • You will leverage data and analytics to uncover insights about global trends on employee turnover, employee engagement etc.
  • You will recruit new employees as needed using multiple channels
  • You will assist in M&A projects and actively support the growth of Rhenus Air & Ocean and Rhenus Warehousing Solutions
  • You will design employees’ compensation and benefits plans
  • You will collaborate closely with other regional HR Managers
  • You will coach and advice our leaders on tactical issues and sensitive employee relations issues
  • You will develop local training and development programs.
  • You will ensure that all HR operations adhere to legal standards


What you bring to the table

  • You assume responsibility and take decisions, even in uncertain circumstances. You translate objectives, decisions and ideas into specific measures and ensure a consistent and result-oriented implementation.
  • Last but not least you are happy with approx. 50% travel.
  • You treat people with empathy and respect and are committed to enabling fair interactions with everyone. You advocates equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • In addition, you have experience in managing complex project topics, even without direct leadership responsibility.
  • You have successfully developed and implemented a sustainable/innovative people & culture strategy as well as organizational development projects in an international environment.
  • You are a well experienced leader, with leadership responsibility for larger teams and preferably other leaders.
  • You have at least 4 years of professional experience in different People & Culture functions within a global company, with in-depth expertise in all professional areas.
  • You foster collaboration and work in a trusting and constructive manner with others – even beyond national, cultural and continental borders.
  • You are able to inspire people and to make them enthusiastic about topics and tasks. You provide trust and foster motivation by providing an empowering and trusting environment, continuous feedback, transparency and participation.
