Role Description
In this newly created role, the Senior Manager of HR Canada and North America HR Operations will serve as the primary HR Business Partner for all Canadian employees and will support the US and Canada, leading HR Operations for the region. This role reports to the Head of HR for North America and will frequently collaborate with the HR Operations function in Bangalore. This role will execute human resources strategy, HR operations, and processes, to positively impact the continued improvement of the organization. Other processes include organizational development, performance management, training and development, succession planning, and compensation.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of Senior Manager of HR Canada and North America HR Operations include:
- Process - Executes processes/programs around critical organizational functions such as recruiting, on-boarding, compensation, performance management, communication, and employee and team development that are customized and evolving to meet the needs of the dynamic team.
- People - resource to help facilitate the dialogue, skills, and structures needed to strengthen the team.
- Strategy - works with the Canadian management team and the Head of HR North America to set the mission, goals, values, and cultural standards and that drive growth and development as individuals, teams, and, ultimately, an institution.
- Operations - ultimately responsible for the effective deployment of all operational aspects of the function including HR data management, benefits, training, policies, etc. The Sr. Manager will ensure all employee data is accurate.
- Programs - responsible for participating in the design and management of leadership development and employee retention programs with an eye towards creating a positive work environment that stresses collaboration and reinforces entrepreneurial spirit

Requirements
- Fluent in English and Quebec French
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to retain and convey information to multiple stakeholders in a concise, effective, and time-sensitive manner
- 6+ years of increasing HR experience, covering employee relations and HR operations.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Recent experience in a biosimilars, pharmaceutical or life sciences company supporting a field sales group is a big plus.
- Strong aptitude for problem-solving, negotiating, and influencing business decisions
- A Bachelors degree in Human Resource or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Familiarity with SAP/Success Factors, MS Office, HRIS Systems, Recruiting software and strategies, in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industries.
