Job Requirements:
Minimum Education: Grade 12+
TDG training and post-secondary education or training in IT software programming or database management is considered an Asset.
Experience required:
3+ years warehouse inventory management and/or warehouse receiving.
3+ years working with ERP inventory management system and RF scanners.
1+ years Counterbalance and Reach truck, valid certificate is an asset.
Skills:
Strong math and logic skills.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft office suite of software especially excel, crystal report, database management.
Work well independently as well as with a team. Able to adapt quickly to fast pace changing environment.
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee, through the direction of the Operations Manager, the procedures and workflow of the Receiving and Inventory control departments and inventory control related projects (both temporary and long term).
Directly management of the Receiver and Inventory Control Clerk/Production stager.
Work with the shipping supervisor on inventory control related tasks for finished goods.
Respond and if possible, resolve scanning and consuming issues of raw material.
Create or improve on procedures and reporting of inventory analysis, including cycle counts variances, non-inventory stock counts and re-order points, expired material and recertification, inventory discrepancies etc.
Prioritize immediate inventory discrepancies to ensure the continuous flow of production, and/or shipping.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and counts.
Coordinate with Shipping to complete monthly finished good cycle counts.
Coordinate with the Inventory control clerk to perform weekly raw material cycle counts.
Communicates with Purchasing and Planning Department on inventory levels, re-order points, critical inventory etc.
Ensures cycle count goals are met.
Prepare inventory adjustments according to the budgetary limits.
Complete subcontractor work order releases.
Reconcile all bin remaining material, including unallocated material in subcontractor bins
Performs and assists with general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse.
Operates forklift as needed.
Coordinate the picking of stock transfers.
Coordinate weekly production inventory spot checks for critical items.
Meet on a weekly basis to discuss inventory control related issues.
Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Non-routine tasks
Review and update procedures with regards to Receiving and Inventory control
Participate and suggest process improvement changes, risks, and resource needs as part of the monthly departmental meeting including production and QC.
Investigate and report on supplier related non-conformances.
Track minor supplier non-conformances for review purposes.
Secondary tasks
Back up coverage for Receiving and Inventory Control Clerk/Production stager for vacation and other absences.
