The success of the company has allowed it to expand its workforce and we are currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team.

Job Summary: -

This position will be based in our Calgary office in the Quality department reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Control Technician will be responsiblefor accurately and efficiently setup and operate specialized and standard test equipment to examine and analyze the products, assemblies, and systems. The QC Tech is responsible for direct examination of products to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with customer specification and legislation. Requiring a high level of attention to details, the QC Tech is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization’s quality assurance policies and identifying defects and production errors in order to prevent from entering the supply chain.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with local, provincial, national, and international standards and legislation.
• Conduct receiving inspection on incoming orders.
• Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
• Other duties maybe assigned as necessary.
• Inspection and testing
• Write reports to document deficiencies and errors of products.
• Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, controls, and related QC test programs.
• Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
• Create and maintain quality control documentation and develop quality control forms.
• Support new product development and continuous improvement.
• Read and interpret complex schematics.
• Communicate the results of inspections for corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills: -

• Minimum 3 years of direct work experience with QA systems. Regulations. Guidelines, and associates standards.
• Extremely detail oriented and analytical thinker.
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
• Working knowledge on IPC 620 standards.
• Electrical/Electronics expertise required.
• Highly motivated and self-directed.
• Direct knowledge of QA methodologies.
• Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
• Practical experience with product testing.
• Ability to create and review technical documentation, including project plans. test procedures and design documents.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality control is an asset.
• Capable of multi-tasking and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits.
• Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams.
