In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Civil, working in a temporary, full-time position of Labourer, reporting to the Quality Manager. This position will assist with installation of underground utilities projects. The ideal candidate will effectively work with customers, both internal and external, to provide a valued service as an industry expert in construction services. Your base location will be Kamloops, BC and will require some travel throughout our great province.

What Success Looks Like

• Experience with basic power and construction tool
• Provide daily labour support as directed
• General labour in road construction activities
• Load & unload building materials and equipment as needed
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude when working with other employees
• Attend and participate in all safety meetings and abide by safety policies
• Complete and submit daily paperwork and reports
• Organize and clean yard and other workspaces when required
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively, to work well with others, to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Be available to work 6 days a week (Monday-Saturday) with some weekends as required.
• Be in good physical condition to, at times, lift items of 50 lbs.
• Be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time as well as kneel
• Experience working on road construction crew an asset
• Valid class 5 driver’s license or higher (Required)
