Job Description

Are you excited to lead the innovation of AI and automation in industrial robotics?If the answer is yes, we have an opportunity for you.

Our never-before-seen welding cobots require customization and R&D. We are looking for an experience Quality Manager to join our growing team and support the development of our cobots.

The Quality Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the Quality Management System, as well as identifying, leading, and executing the continuous improvement plans with Lean and Six Sigma methods. The Quality Manager will support operations, engineering, customer support and other functions in solving process or product issues through an effective NCR and CAPA process.


Responsibilities:

  • Access and generate measurement and assessment tools enabling operational and leaders to evaluate potential areas for formal Continuous Improvement actions and determine their operational and financial value.
  • Lead and oversee Continuous Improvement projects while evaluating operational and financial data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, and cost/benefit forecasts.
  • Establish KPIs including metrics and trends, progress on established quality objectives, results of internal and external audits, adequacy of required resources, non-conformities, and corrective and preventive actions and actions to address risks and opportunities.
  • Manage approved Continuous Improvement programs by coordinating necessary human and operational resources and setting and implementing budgetary and timing controls to achieve objectives.
  • Lead Deployment of Supplier Qualification and Quality Management process.
  • Lead implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) by conducting a gap assessment, planning system deployment, and managing execution with training and support for all staff.
  • Provides status reports to management as required.
  • In collaboration with functional leads, oversee employee training plans and records.
  • Establish effective Change Management procedures to ensure Continuous Improvement and sustainment of QMS.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled internal audits of all functional areas and work collaboratively with internal functions to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances.
  • Facilitate the definition and documentation of the company’s business processes.
  • Develop and administer an effective Document Management System
  • Coach, counsel, and train functional leaders and staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a Continuous Improvement culture.
  • Facilitate and lead Continuous Improvement events as a subject matter expert while empowering operational staff and associates to present ideas and create improvements and solutions.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Education & Experience:

  • Extensive experience with ISO 9001:2015 standard
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Business Degree.
  • Certified Lean/ Six Sigma Leader with experience in deployment of Lean projects.
  • Results oriented, and able to effectively execute on projects with minimal supervision
  • Certification as a Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Quality Lead Auditor, and/or Engineer by a recognized institution such as ASQ.
  • 5+ years of experience in Operations, Quality Systems Management and Process Improvement in electro-mechanical materials and systems manufacturing environments.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to write documentation such as operating procedures, work instructions, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Effective presentation skills and ability to communicate within different levels of the organization.

Computer Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with ERP system/s.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel analysis, and good PowerPoint knowledge.

Demonstrated success in maintaining positive interpersonal relationships that encourage team members' openness using exceptional problem-solving, facilitation, and collaboration skills.


Schedule:This is a permanent full time on-site position. Our office is located in North Vancouver.
