Upper Valley Aviation is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager, with an Aviation background. We have an Aircraft Maintenance Organization and a Commercial Air Charter Service.
Our Organization disassembles, repairs, paint strips, paints, and reassembles aircraft as our core business. We maintain a King Air 200 for our Commercial Air Charter, and we accomplish inspections, structural modifications, and repairs to clients' aircraft, that aren't being processed through the paint facility. We have an upholstery division that disassembles, repairs, and reassembles aircraft seats and interiors.
The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the activity of the Quality Assurance Program. They will develop, implement, and maintain the system of quality for the organization's projects and processes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that projects meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
Communicates quality standards and parameters to management, project team leads, and other appropriate staff.
Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple projects; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
Maintains compliance with federal (Canadian Aviaiton Regulations), provincial, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Training will be provided. It would be expected that if you don't have an AME license, you will take a Regulations Examination with Transport Canada, and an interview with Transport Canada within 6 months of your hire date, to be formally put into the position.
If you have an AME license, you will be expected to have your interview with Transport Canada within 6 moths of your hire date.
