PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a QA Automation Analyst, you will analyze the user-stories, develop test plans, perform manual and automated tests to validate the acceptance criteria and to uncover potential issues. You'll work closely with the dev team to communicate issues, provide feedback, and participate in code-reviews via pull-requests. You're a strong team player and passionate coder with a focus on improving product quality. This is largely a coding role with 70-30 automation vs manual testing.

• Reproduce product defects and log bugs in Azure DevOps
• Prepare test plans and test cases, documenting scenarios, inputs and expected results
• Perform code reviews via pull-requests
• Participate in grooming, review and planning sessions
• Maintain and refactor existing tests as needed
• Write reusable and generic coded integration tests (BDD) in C# .NET Core to validate line-of-business web APIs for regression and smoke testing
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of supported use-cases in order to evaluate and ensure product operations during test cycles

A successful candidate must have:

• Strong written and verbal communication and soft skills
• 2+ years of coding experience in C# .NET / .NET Core code, preferably in testing automation
• Experienced in working with cloud-based SaaS applications
• Experienced in Git, Web APIs, Entity Framework, T-SQL and SQL Server
• Experienced in working with Agile/Scrum team

Considered a plus:

• Familiarity with mobile app testing
• Test automation experience in behaviour-driven development (BDD) like LightBDD or Selenium Web Driver is a big plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Familiarity in load / performance testing is a plus
• Experience in Workforce Management (WFM), Human Capital Management (HCM) or Payroll industry
