Job Description

Job Title: Python Developer

Location: Montreal, QC

Type of Hire: FullTime


Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our client team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of software applications using Python. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Python programming language and its libraries, as well as experience with web development frameworks.


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality and consistency
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Python development
  • Follow best practices for software development, including Agile methodology and version control systems
  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Python
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems
  • Develop and implement software test strategies and perform software testing as needed
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications as needed


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Python Developer, with at least 3 years of experience
  • Proficient in SQL and experience working with relational databases
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodology and version control systems
  • Experience with web development frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid
  • Strong understanding of Python programming language and its libraries
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of software security best practices
