Job Title: Data Software Engineer (Python)

Client: Scientific Trading firm

Salary: $90,000 CAD - $175,000 CAD (depending on experience)

The role:

• Tons of project work with your own ownership, working with the smartest Quant Researchers in the country.
• You will be working as a Software Engineer embedded into the Data Engineering team, where you will be responsible for ensuring the firm has access to petabytes of critical data.
• This includes building pipelines/warehouses, libraries, frameworks and much more.

The right candidate has:

• Strong Python knowledge
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals - Data Structures, Algorithms etc
• Minimum 2+ years in Data Engineering - experience with building ETL pipelines is essential

Nice to have:

• Monitoring/Observability tools: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana
• Multi-threading, distributed systems, low latency experience
