Our client is a thriving electrical contracting business based in Surrey, British Columbia who specialize in delivering high-quality electrical services to a diverse range of clients. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their and contribute to their growth and success.

Job Summary: As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of electrical projects from initiation to completion. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaboration with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams will be essential to drive project success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop project budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure projects remain within allocated budgets.
• Communicate project status updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly.
• Manage client expectations effectively, proactively communicating any changes or deviations from project plans.
• Project Planning and Coordination:
• Conduct thorough project assessments, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Establish and maintain quality standards, ensuring adherence to electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to guarantee project compliance.
• Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, and monitor progress to ensure timely project completion.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
• Team Management and Leadership:
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Budget and Cost Control:
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to schedules.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and communicate recommendations to management.
• Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials, equipment, and subcontractors at competitive prices.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff, to achieve project goals.
• Client Relationship Management:
• Provide guidance and support to team members, resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise.
• Quality Assurance:
• Address any quality-related concerns promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the electrical contracting industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• PMP certification (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
