ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER

Full Time, 1-year contract with the possibility of extension for the duration of the project (7-years)

Onsite, 5 days a week 8 am- 4 pm

North Vancouver, BC

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee projects from conception to completion, providing technical support to Maintenance and Operations teams. This position is also responsible for the site’s electrical engineering standards, and works to ensure that projects are executed in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

● Communicating and coordinating with Maintenance, Operations, and other parties on site regarding all required work

● Providing effective project management in a heavily industrialized environment, demonstrating excellent safety practices

● Promoting and maintaining culture of cooperation and excellence between Maintenance, Operations, Safety, and Engineering factions

● Ensuring all projects and repairs meet company standards and work is executed on time and within budget

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

● 3 + years’ experience in a planning, supervisory, or project management role

● Detailed understanding of 3 phase power distribution systems

● Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers and programming

● Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities ● Superior communication skills, both written and verbal

● Proficiency using MS Office Suite, specifically Project and Sharepoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

● Trade, technologist, or engineering certification in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

● Class A Electrical FSR Certification

● Experience in material bulk loading/unloading or similar operation
