Job Description
Overview:


The ideal candidate is a Professional Engineer with 5+ years of experience working in a diverse safety focused environment. A “hands-on” leader responsible to oversee the safety processes, procedures and auditing of our park rides.


How You'll Make A Difference:


  • Responsible to sign off on our daily and periodic preventative maintenance programs
  • Assist with the budgeting, planning and contract administration for assigned capital projects
  • Submit the technical dossiers for new ride installations to the TSSA
  • Oversee plans and execution of winter re-build projects
  • Plan and document ride modifications including modernizations and changes needed to increase ride reliability
  • Maintain all required service records, reports and logs for rides area
  • Identify and report all potential improvements, modifications and upgrades
  • Assist rides maintenance team with the safe install, rebuild and/or repairs required for our park rides
  • Coordinate all external testing required to maintain our park rides
  • Manage all reporting and auditing with TSSA


We're Looking For:


  • Prior experience with contract administration of capital is essential coupled with strong skills scheduling, and costing jobs
  • Experience with AutoCad is an asset
  • Proven ability to work with external partners and governing agencies essential
  • Required to meet the physical demands of the job including: heights of 106m, frequent standing and walking
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather condition
  • Ability to work from manuals and blueprints (mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic) is essential
  • Experience with welding design and specifications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work some shifts and weekends as needed
  • Experience with various methods of non-destructive testing
  • Past experience with similar equipment an asset
  • Required to register, obtain and maintain a TSSA license as per government guidelines
  • Minimum three (5) years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Proven leadership ability coupled with strong computer skills
  • Ownership of safety boots
