When entering our Bracebridge Barrelhouse you can expect to see all your Lake of Bays favourites, plus experimental one-offs, barrel aged brews and seasonals, brewed right in our microbrewery! Our expanding Barrelhouse currently boasts 4,200 sq. ft. spread over two floors with seating for 137 people.

The Role
Prepare ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes
Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range
Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at workstation and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery
Set up and clean the station according to restaurant protocol
Maintain a clean workstation area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves
Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line supervisor, sous-chef, or chef
Your Assets
1 to 3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort (preferred, but not a deal breaker!)
An understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks with accuracy and speed
Ability to read and follow cooking directions
Able to remain calm, cool and collected in a fast-paced environment
A passion and enthusiasm for craft beer and the food and beverage industry (not necessary, but a big win for us!)
Excellent verbal communication skills
Organized, adaptable and self-motivated with a "can do" attitude
Working Conditions
Evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts are all part of the gig
Walking, bending, lifting and extended periods standing
