Job Description
Position Overview
The Department of Community Health Sciences in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Project Coordinator. This Fixed Term Recurring Part-time is for approximately 6 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.
The Health Equity Project Coordinator (PC) reports to the Program Lead. The PC will interact significantly with both research participants, community agencies and the Lead Investigator(s) of the project(s) to which they are assigned.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating research projects related to Health Equity. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for all project stakeholders, reporting to the project's Principal Investigator and working closely with researchers, advisory committee members, and community agencies nationally. The position requires a high degree of autonomy in project coordination, and research and reporting activities.
The incumbent will manage activities and multiple research and policy related tasks with various internal and external stakeholders. The position requires discretionary decision making, with the potential to impact the integrity and success of the Health Equity and the O'Brien Institute. Peak periods of the year are stressful due to high volume of work and competing demands. The position requires the management of competing interests with satisfactory outcomes for all involved.
This is a recurring part time position with variable hours. Recurring part-time employees are hourly employees engaged to perform work on an irregular schedule.
