The Role: Production Supervisor – Afternoon shift


Who are you?


The Production Supervisor leads and supports Svante’s Production needs. The Supervisor is expected to work positively and respectfully as part of a team. The Supervisor is expected to support, manage, and direct Production tasks and issues to deliver Product to customers on time.


The Supervisor will work independently and with the Production group to ensure their team is developing and being supported. The Supervisor will ensure Production is running at the promised rate for Svante’s customers. They will ensure training, safety, and development of the Production team.


Safety is one the key values of Svante. The Supervisor will ensure the Production team is trained on the job at hand, following safe practices, and developed skills are being utilized. If there are concerns or questions from the team, the Supervisor will ensure they are addressed with the right channels.


The Supervisor will support the Production Manager in scheduling Manufacturing of Standard Adsorbent Beds (SABs) and ensuring this schedule is followed. They will be key in reporting issues to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to address and implement solutions.


The Supervisor will follow Lean Manufacturing principles when supporting and empowering the Production team. The Supervisor is empowered to raise any safety and quality issues immediately.


The Supervisor is expected to actively participate in Svante’s continuous improvement (Kaizen) program.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:


  • Coach, counsel, and manage Production team’s performance.
  • Work closely with Quality Department for Quality control processes of Production lines.
  • Manage Production team metrics by communicating job expectations, planning, and monitoring.
  • Support staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; develop personal growth opportunities.
  • Ensure safety and training of Production team members.
  • Carry out other related tasks and projects as required.
  • Work closely with the Production team and Production Manager to ensure Product scheduling is followed.
  • Assist Production Manager in reporting Production issues to SMEs.
  • Conduct procedures within health and safety guidelines, inform Production Manager of deficiencies.
  • Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering for Production process development.

  • Education: High school or above.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a Production Leadership environment.
