Job Description

Procurement Coordinator

Position Type: Permanent/ Full-time

Pay Range: $60,000k- $70,000 per year

Shifts: Steady Days; Monday- Friday

Work Location: Woodstock, ON


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing-related documentation, such as purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the purchasing department and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to gather necessary documentation and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing any inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels, and initiating replenishment orders as needed.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Inventory Control:
  • Generate reports on purchasing activities, including supplier performance, inventory levels, and cost analyses.
  • Conduct research to identify potential new suppliers, compare prices, and negotiate terms to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to procurement and purchasing.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, including quality, pricing, and delivery, and provide feedback to the purchasing team.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established policies and procedures.

  • Procurement Support:
  • Assist with the procurement process, including generating purchase orders, obtaining quotes, and processing requisitions.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Assist with analyzing data and identifying trends to support decision-making processes.


Requirements

  • Proficient in using computer software and applications, including MS Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and familiarity with inventory control systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a purchasing or procurement department.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and also independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
