The Pricing Intelligence Analyst reports to the Director, of Corporate Pricing. He/She is responsible for creating all reporting required for setting pricing strategies and measurement of Pricing & Gross Margin Improvement. Support the National Pricing Team in areas such as database management, data analytics and modelling. Providing readable reports so action can be taken to implement. He/She is in direct contact with managers and employees within the Divisional, and specifically Pricing Managers across Canada and other departments as required.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Pricing Intelligence & Process Analyst will be responsible for training Divisional Pricing Managers on how to read and execute on the reports provided from corporate as they relate to pricing and margin and may be responsible for assigning or coordinating the work of others. There is no direct supervisory responsibility within this position at this time, however, this position may have direct supervision of staff as the position evolves. He/she carries out these responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and the applicable laws and regulations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Create business intelligence, dashboards, visualizations, and/or other advanced analytical reports to tell the business narrative and offer recommendations to all levels of Management
  • Demonstrates prominent leadership through an open-minded and adaptable approach, driving continuous enhancement in Gross Margin and Pricing strategies
  • Facilitate the identification, understanding, and improvement of process issues by using appropriate quantitative and qualitative tools and techniques
  • Ensures proper application of company policies/procedures and safeguarding of all fixed assets.
  • Conduct Competitive Pricing analysis, run annual micro-segmentation, and continue to set standardized pricing practices for the divisions.
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to develop, communicate, and drive the vision, and strategy of processes and support the implementation of a technology roadmap for the pricing team


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Effectively communicates essential information, fosters team satisfaction, offers direct feedback for informed decisions, and prioritizes timely information sharing.

  • Evaluation based on successfully identifying and implementing Gross Margin improvement programs, meeting or surpassing budgeted margin objectives, and adaptively monitoring and adjusting programs within the division.
  • Possesses deep business acumen, understands industry trends, competitors, and effective market strategies.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
  • 5+ years of experience leading process improvement and leading data intelligence initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience with pricing responsibility
  • Makes well-informed, timely decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgment, with a track record of successful outcomes and sought-after advice.
  • Embraces challenges with enthusiasm, acts decisively, and seizes opportunities without hesitation
  • Pursues goals with unwavering determination, relentless energy, and a commitment to finish despite obstacles.
  • Efficiently delegates task, sets clear objectives, monitors progress, and provides timely, objective feedback on performance.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing Science, Economics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Business and /or Statistics. History of success using mathematical models to solve business problems
  • Required to adhere to Rexel Canada's health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations outlined in the Health & Safety Manual.
  • Highly skilled in interpersonal relations, builds rapport, listens attentively, fosters constructive relationships, employs diplomacy and tact, values individuals, and adeptly defuses tense situations.
