Payroll Analyst
Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible to process payroll for Canadian employees and all expatriates, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable about Canadian payroll regulations and possesses excellent analytical, problem-solving, customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities:
*Prepare and process payroll for all Canadian employees (salaried, fixed rate, temporary, expatriates) and support regulatory filing and year-end activities.
*Maintain the accuracy of all payroll related data.
*Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws, as well as company policies.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with other business functions.
*Conduct audits of payroll data, ensuring accuracy. Investigate data discrepancies/errors and resolve and/or escalate in a timely manner.
*Assist and backup other members of the payroll team as required.
*Stay up to date with changes in Canadian payroll legislation and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
*Prepare and submit payroll reports, including year-end tax forms, to government authorities and internal stakeholders.
*Manage sensitive employee information ensuring confidentiality and integrity of data.
*Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding payroll-related inquiries, issues, and policies.
*Collaborate with external auditors during payroll audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
*Collaborate and build relationships with payroll team members, supporting an efficient and high-performing work environment.
*Seeks opportunities to improve/enhance payroll and time processes, provide insights and recommendations
