Patient Administrative Associate - Critical Care Unit - Regular Part-Time (2023-222851)

We currently have a Regular Part-time (0.5 FTE) opportunity for a Patient Administrative Associate in the Critical Care Unit at Bayview.

Hours Of Work

Weekday & Alternating Weekend: Days, Evenings, and Nights; 8hrs; As per schedule

Summary Of Duties

The PAA is responsible for co-ordination of patient flow and patient activities; administrative services for intensive care unit; maintenance of patient records, staffing, scheduling, payroll and administrative support to intensive care unit.

Qualifications/Skills

• One year of Administrative/Business experience in health care setting required
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Demonstrated Patient-Focused Care/Customer Service behaviour
• Keyboarding at 40 w.p.m with maximum 5% error rate
• One year of Community College; Medical Terminology course preferred
• Knowledge of software packages such as Word/Windows
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to organize work effectively, and work at a fast pace in an unpredictable environment
