Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.

Successful completion of the Winnipeg Critical Care Nursing Education Program or equivalent ICU program/training.

Appropriate CNA certification for program area is an asset.

Permanent Full-time (1.0 FTE); 75 Hours Bi-weekly

Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness

Current Basic Life Support Certification

Permanent, Part-time (70%); 52.5 Hours Bi-weekly

Demonstrated clinical competence and experience in the assessment of clinically deteriorating children

Demonstrated organizational, conceptual, and leadership skills

Demonstrated advanced practice skills and competence in interpersonal relations, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, assertiveness and innovation

Successful completion of licensing exam for pediatrics.

Ability to obtain a Clinical Assistant License through CPSNS.

Demonstrated ability to perform autonomously

One year previous experience in clinical nutrition or food services area preferred

Demonstrated working knowledge of sterile technique including working within a laminar flow hood preferred

Well-organized and efficient work routine

Demonstrated compliance with hospital infection prevention and control practices
