Note: This is a regular part-time Support position (up to 24 hours per week).Part-time Support Staff employees, as defined by the part-time Support Staff Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration.

Duties: Under the general supervision of the Lab Operations Manager for the Faculty of Technology Labs provides technical support and assistance to staff, faculty and students in the daily operations, maintenance, organization and implementation of Survey related programs in the Donald J. Smith School of Building Technology.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree in Civil Engineering Technology
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Knowledge of design and drafting preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ practical, related work experience in soil and fluid mechanics, concrete, and civil engineering technology
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Certification or equivalent in Surveying
• Practical, related work experience with Surveying and related equipment
