Research Lab Technologist Jobs

The Research Technologist practices and performs a variety of laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and efficiency in accordance with the policies and procedures of the CRLB-GMEL, operates and maintains research laboratory equipment according to CRLB-GMEL Procedures. The Technologist may at times be required to design and carry out special projects and experiments to validate new methods or technologies. The Technologist responsibilities will include: recognizing failure, troubleshooting, taking corrective action and maintaining documentation of laboratory equipment according to CRLB-GMEL procedures; understanding the practice and theory of quality control in Laboratory Medicine; performing quality control and documenting quality control results according to CRLB-GMEL procedures, proficiency with quality control for genomics platforms desired; recognizing unusual quality control results, troubleshooting and taking corrective action.

• Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills in an interdisiplinary team
• Demonstrated ability to utilize problem-solving and critical thinking techniques
• MLT, BSc or equivalent Science Degree
