Part time permanent position – 3-4 days a week

Salary: $25-35p/hr

My client is a successful, established construction operation with its head office located in Burlington and construction projects across Ontario.

Your new role

They are seeking a Bookkeeper to support the controller and be responsible for ;

• General accounting support to the controller
• Intercompany entries
• HST
• Accounts payable
• Month end
• Accounts receivable
• Processing weekly payroll for their unionized work force
• Bank reconciliations
• Set up new projects and progress billing

What you'll need to succeed

The suitable candidate will have 2-3+ years full cycle accounting/bookkeeping experience within a smaller operation, with a flexible approach. Previous payroll experience is preferred, ideally with exposure to unionized employees. Exposure to the construction industry is helpful but not required. Strong communication skills, able to work effectively as part of a team and strong organizational skills are required.
