About Us


Everywoman’s Health Centre is an abortion and sexual health clinic located in Vancouver, BC. We are a registered charity and nonprofit society. We are accredited by the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons and the National Abortion Federation. We are governed by a board of directors and employ a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, nurses, counsellors, and admin staff.


About The Role


Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the clinic. In addition, the OM will cover for the ED in their absence.


Primary Responsibilities


Clinic Operations and Administration


  • Coordinates day-to-day activities of the clinic
  • Manages maintenance of the physical facilities and equipment
  • Plans AGM
  • Ensures compliance with society requirements
  • Assists in activities required for accreditation processes


Financial Management


  • Prepares financial reports for funders and government agencies as needed
  • Reviews and reconciles payment information
  • Assists the board by coordinating fundraising initiatives
  • Participates in the annual audit
  • Ensures that IT systems are effective and efficient
  • Reviews internal financial transactions on a monthly basis including general ledger, income statements, VISA, etc.
  • Prepares payroll


Human Resources
  • Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday approximately 8:30 to 4:30.
  • Oversees scheduling of staff and physicians
  • Ensures adherence to respective collective agreements
  • This position is on-site at the clinic.
  • Models and ensures a respectful, collaborative, and productive working environment
  • Develops and maintains personnel policies and job descriptions consistent with collective agreements
  • However, there is an expectation of being available after hours, particularly as relates to arranging coverage for short-notice staff illness and emergencies
  • Also included is a competitive vacation and benefits program including a defined benefit pension plan; extended health and dental benefits; and paid sick time.
  • Maintains complete and accurate HR files
  • $75,000 - $85,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications
  • Coordinates clinical training placements for clinical learners
  • Supervises administrative and support staff including performance management
Work Environment and Conditions Salary and Benefits Qualifications


  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience with progressive responsibilities; including a minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory capacity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Experience with interpreting financial reports and constructing business cases
  • Experience working in a health care and/or non-profit environment preferred
  • Strong technology skills and experience
  • Strong Human Resources skills; experience in a unionized environment preferred
  • Values alignment is essential: pro-choice, social justice, inclusion, collaboration
  • Solid track record of strong execution and logistical skills, including effective time management
  • Previous experience with and knowledge of women's reproductive health issues preferred
  • Post-secondary degree in health administration, business, or a related discipline; Master’s preferred
  • Interpersonal, planning and organizational skills
