Position Overview
Conducts analyses of data using various methods and tools to extract information as basis for decision making. Researches, analyzes, consolidates and interprets data using statistical and data analytics methods to create information on business-relevant topics, e.g. market environment, operational process and equipment performance etc. Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems. Operates and optimizes pre-defined tools, applications and data bases/data management systems. Creates reports and communicates results to various internal and/or external stakeholders (e.g. management, customers).
Relocation will not be offered for this role.
Responsibilities
  • Support SQL database maintenance.
  • Lead/ Support AM Digital Turbine initiative
  • Provide data analytics on park performance and operational reliability analysis
  • Provide end user training in multiple tools to improve reporting accuracy and support process & tool improvements
  • Support regional Operations team with contractual availability reporting tools and customer inquiries
  • Support development, testing, and deployment of field service applications
  • Perform data analysis, develop insights, and make recommendations to improve operational efficiencies
  • Continuous development of industry leading data analysis and procedures to enhance the value of SGRE service
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of current digital deliverables, identifies and executes updates and enhancements
  • Lead consolidation of the current number of reports to produce a more comprehensive analysis that serves a broader spectrum of stakeholders
  • Lead with availability set up as it pertains to new sites
  • Support development of Health Reports for additional turbines platforms
  • Contribute to or conduct the maintenance and improvement of internal tools, equipment, processes, and data repositories
  • Provides data analytics based on stakeholder requests and collaboration
  • Engage with operations and financial management to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in support of recurring business reviews
  • Process data and generate monthly customer reports, weekly health reports, & weekly availability dashboard
Required Knowledge, Education, Experience And Skills
  • Qualified applicants may be allowed remote working opportunities, based on business needs
  • 3-5 years of Wind industry experience
  • Experience with PowerBI and/or Tableau and/or Minitab or similar
  • Advanced experience with programming language (Python, Shiny, R preferred)
  • Ability to work in a highly paced environment and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be self-motivated, able to think quickly and address problems as they arise
  • Advanced MS Office (word, power point, excel) skills

  • A passion for key performance metrics, using them to communicate status and demonstrate improvements
  • Team skills and ability to collaboratively work with peers across all levels of the business both local and international
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, other).
  • 3-5 years of successful experience in database development and report creation
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent degree/experience
  • Experience with GRT, WindOne Availability
  • Knowledge and/or Experience with SCADA systems
  • Consistently versed in the latest industry cutting edge trends, innovations and applications in the Wind Turbine industry
