New Product Industrialization Engineer

Job Summary

This position exists to supply the New Product Industrialization group with drawings and models required to either build or purchase tooling and equipment required for New Product Industrialization. The incumbent will also support the team through the research and development of automation equipment, materials, and processes.

Principal Responsibilities

The incumbent will:

• Maintain documentation of all new product trials
• Designing test fixtures
• Collaborate with corporate Innovation and New Product groups
• Produce documentation package for production
• Preparation of Cavity Layouts and basic mold concepts for RFQ packages
• Provide drawings and specifications to update PIM
• Design End of Arm Tooling
• Mold setup sheets
• Populate ERP and MES systems with all relevant information required for new product launches
• Prepare RFQ (Request for Quote) packages for new tooling, End of arm tools, automation equipment etc.
• Design reviews and approvals with mold shop producing tooling

Qualifications & Experience

Technical Skills:

• Engineering/Technical background in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial engineering (other relevant education and experiences will be considered);
• 3 years practical experience in plastic part design, mold design or automation industry with knowledge of the following areas:

Mold design,

Plastic part design

Manufacturing Process Development

Post process assembly, packaging or inspection equipment

• Proficient user of common computer applications;
• Proven track record to work well in a multi-functional team;
• Proficient user of Solid Works
• Proven track record to meet deadlines and prioritize their work with little supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills in formal and informal contexts;
