What We Are Looking For

As an integral member of the Nuclear Medicine team, the technologist performs general Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and SPECT procedures as outlined in the procedure manuals. The technologist must be capable of all digital post processing of patient data for physician interpretation; paper scanning to PACs; maintaining current knowledge of and utilizing PACS to view, manipulate and archive digital images of data in final image formation; operating, troubleshooting and ensuring equipment and instruments are performing in an effective and efficient manner; preparing written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results; and participating in educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities. You will be responsible for maintaining safe and up to date Radiation Safety practices in relation to the receiving, preparing, administering, discarding and monitoring of all Radiopharmaceuticals.

What You Bring To The Role

• 1 year of recent post-graduate Nuclear Medicine clinical experience, including SpectCT is preferred
• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in Nuclear Medicine required
• Demonstration of excellent time management and initiative
• Evidence of Leadership abilities and any related courses an asset
• OAMRS/CAMRT Registration is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and team building skills
• Knowledge and experience with angio catheter insertions, IV skills and insertion
• Demonstrated ability to promote and manage change
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development
• Experience and exposure to teaching and student mentoring
• CAMRT Specialty Certificate in CT Imaging is an asset
• Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
• Demosntrated excellent computer skills
• BMD experience required
• Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards

Schedule

The successful candidate will work 8 hour day shifts Monday to Friday and occasional weekends on a casual basis.

Compensation

OPCOM01: $34.15 - $45.79 per hour
