BDI Equipments is devoted in research, design and manufacture of various industrial equipment such as mini excavator, skid steer loader, tractor, mini dumper, jaw crusher, cone crusher and more.

Our equipment is widely used for various industrial and construction situations: ore crushing, mining, quarry, urban road paving, park maintenance, house reconstruction, etc.

BDI Equipments head quartered in Toronto, ON, with regional offices and warehouses in Mississauga, Richmond Hill, as well as Delta, BC and Los Angeles, CA. We are now looking for a Mechanical Designer in excavator design, located in Toronto, ON.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct tests and analyses of machines, components and materials to determine their performance, strength, response to stress and other characteristics
• Inspect mechanical installations and construction
• Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to prepare engineering design for heavy excavator
• Design moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures for use in manufacturing processes

·Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects

• Provide technical support to internal teams
• Participate in the installation, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Identify and support to fix any issue during designing and assembling process
• Perform Quality Control, ensure design and products meet quality standard
• Provide equipment performance analyses as required
• Prepare standards and schedules and supervise mechanical maintenance programs or operations of mechanical plants.
• Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials

Requirements:

• Master/ Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering Mechanical or r Engineer/designer, preferably in excavator design
• Excellent time management skills, able to follow project timeline
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or other drawing software
• Working knowledge of equipment design standards and principles, especially for excavator
• Certified P.Eng is an asset
