Merrick is looking to give an undergraduate an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of mechanical engineering.  The student will be exposed to a variety of mechanical engineering items potentially including sizing of mechanical industrial components, piping systems, facilities design and exposure to quality requirements.

The position requires the collaboration with other disciplines, ability to interface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budget commitments, work independently, possess good written and oral communication skills and the ability to problem solve. Must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality. Students who have recently graduated will not be considered.

Required Experience

• Client requirements for this position require Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status
• Experience or exposure to AutoCAD or Revit is strongly preferred.
• Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB)accredited program.
• Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 3 Years (6 Terms) or higher of undergraduate degree.
• Local candidates preferred.
