Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching one or more of the following MATH courses:

• MATH 099 – Fundamentals of Algebra with Trigonometry: This is a bridging course to provide students with the fundamental mathematical knowledge necessary for success in university-level mathematics.
• MATH 100 – Precalculus: This course will cover algebraic, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions and their graphs. Conic sections, applications.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for instructing, assisting students’ acquisition of learning outcomes, and applying active learning strategies within the classroom.

Qualifications For Mathematics Instructor

• Excellent instructional capability
• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Math, or equivalent
• Strong Proficiency in English
• Able to maintain professionalism and cordiality when working with others
• Proficient with educational technology including databases and online learning environments
• 2 years teaching equivalent courses at a post-secondary institution
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
• Able to demonstrate success in innovative or student-centered teaching techniques
• Knowledge of course learning outcomes is an asset
