We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Organizational Effectiveness Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the employee lifecycle experience, driving organizational effectiveness initiatives and talent management programs that support our business objectives and help us attract, retain, and develop top talent.


What To Expect On The Job


Reporting to the Director, Organizational Effectiveness, the role is responsible for using data-driven insights to manage programs/processes such as performance management, potential identification, development planning, succession management, competency model management, coaching and assessments, or employee listening activities (surveys).


  • Review and implement measurement and evaluation tools to determine program/process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct ongoing research, analytics, and data-driven insights to identify leading practices and trends that can be leveraged to advance strategic priorities and objectives and inform future programming recommendations.
  • Develop and execute diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to create an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.
  • Design and implement organizational effectiveness initiatives, including organizational design, talent/ performance management, process improvement, and culture change.
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics to track the effectiveness of talent management and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to managers and employees on talent management and organizational effectiveness topics.
  • Identify and implement change management and communication requirements for all levels of the organization. This includes working in partnership with HR business partners and internal communications team to develop and revise tools, resources, and communication materials to increase the adoption of a process and/or change.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and vendor partners to implement systems or processes that deliver scalable, reliable, and integrated talent data.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify talent gaps and develop solutions to address them.
  • Design innovative, scalable, and technology-enabled solutions, in collaboration with internal teams and strategic vendor partners, to ensure the seamless delivery of organization-wide programs/processes, enhance the end-user experience, and advance strategic priorities/objectives.
  • Develop and execute workforce planning strategies to ensure we have the right people in the right roles at the right time.
  • Build cross-functional relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders to assess business needs and priorities and determine the implications for talent management and organizational effectiveness programs/processes and ensure full integration with other initiatives.


What You Bring To The Role


  • Influencing and negotiation skills to socialize and obtain buy-in for program/process changes in a matrixed environment.
  • Customer-focused working style with a collaborative approach to partnering with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Background in succession planning in areas of talent/potential assessments, career paths, and building a diverse leadership pipeline.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. CHRL designation nice to have.
  • Experience with DEI initiatives preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent management, organizational effectiveness, or related fields.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing employee engagement/ experience, talent management and organizational effectiveness programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Big picture thinking to analyze and determine meaningful and practical solutions.


This position requires travel to our offices within Canada and the United States.

High Liner Foods is Remote Friendly! We offer a Flexible Hybrid Work Model where corporate office employees have the flexibility to choose a minimum of two office days per week, with the option to work wherever they prefer (office or remote) for the remainder of the week.
