Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Our Operations Performance office is looking for a Manager, Operational Performance to lead the development and execution of analysis, reporting and insights for the punctuality and reliability of our GO, Rail, GO Bus and UP Express business, including driving effective measurement and continuous improvement .
What will I be doing?

• Lead analysis, reporting and insights for the primary source data on the punctuality and reliability of our GO Rail, GO Bus and UP Express business.
• Drive innovation by reviewing and analyzing processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
• Lead a team of technical senior and junior performance advisors to distribute work, ensure there is a rigorous quality program in place, ensure execution of daily, weekly, monthly and year end on time performance report.
• Develop and maintain an environment of positive collaboration through strong working relationships and linkages between business units and departments; and between Metrolinx and others.
• Establish and maintains quality control and assurance on assigned projects; ensures deficiencies are addressed immediately and minimizes corporate liability by working with internal stakeholders to identify and manage risk and resolve escalating issues
• Liaise with internal departments regarding operational issues or improvements, and provides subject matter expertise to management team on as required
• Provide the Senior Management Team (SMT) and executives within the directorates with a view of how Metrolinx is achieving on-time performance targets for rail, bus and UP Express as identified on the MX strategic wheel, in an effort to understand risks, opportunities, threats and weaknesses and likelihood that our company will achieve its year end targets.
• Lead the analysis, reporting and insights for the GO Expansion program regime, which requires the technical expertise and collaboration between Finance, Operational Commercial Management (OCM), Marketing, Safety, I&IT and other divisions across Metrolinx.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

• Completion of a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Planning, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
• Demonstrated broad and varied experience with experience with data reporting and insights.
