Within the Services Platform, located in Saint-Ouen and reporting to the Competitiveness Director your main responsibilities, as Competitiveness Manager, will be:

• Driving services competitiveness through definition and follow-up of competitiveness plans
• Collecting central REX on services projects
• Creating, Managing and Keeping up-to-date our portfolio of Mainline RS Services Reference Libraries
• Supporting Regions through competitiveness, tender costing gap or ad-hoc analyses with reference libraries

Missions:

• Analyse performance regime outcomes of ongoing services contracts
• Interface with energy modelling consultants for the analysis and optimisation of energy consumption and rates
• Collection of failure and performance data, both theoretical from the RAMS métier and Return on Experience from projects
• Support management decisions of tender strategy with detailed risk exposure calculations
• Drive competitiveness through Total Cost of Ownership assessments on a Best for Alstom / evaluation approach from pre-tender stage through to project execution
• Promote modifications in proposed performance regime through Q&A and client meetings
• Quantify impacts of Desig & Build changes on Services such as fleet sizing of maintenance and operating spares and selection of part suppliers for reliability
• Develop, measure, analyse and improve models of complex performance regime to be implemented during the O&M term of a contract

Main required competences:
Education

• Engineering degree and/or Business School

Experience

• Experience of bid costing, ideally for large scale services tenders
• Min 5 years of work experience in capital goods manufacturing, transport equipment manufacturing or other heavy industries

Technical Competencies & Skills

• Very good / Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills
• Results and data driven
• Highly numerate, analytical and logical, with above average attention to detail
• Very good communication orally (in person and remotely via phone/skype) and in writing
• Rigorous in work, yet able to take a step back and look at larger picture
• Leadership and autonomy – ability to drive others to deliver results
• Comfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environment
• Flexibility – ability to juggle with various tasks and respond to urgencies, e. g. gap reviews on short notice
• Ability to “look beyond” numbers, i. e. understand meaning and challenge cost base
• Proficiency in English
