Position Overview
As the Manager, Member Services and Events, you will provide leadership and advice on key initiatives for Waste to Resource Ontario, including the design and development of membership products, services, and event programs and membership growth initiatives. You will be responsible for generating new memberships, as well as maintaining, fostering, and developing mutually beneficial member relations.
You will focus on delivering quantifiable and measurable business results that support the strategic plan goals related to building and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, current members, and prospective members.
The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
Principal responsibilities and duties:
·Lead all activities related to the membership services portfolio by building and maintaining relations with members through membership fees, member complaints, issue resolutions, status of members & correspondence.
·Create and manage meaningful business and professional experiences for members and is the driver of new revenues and recurring revenues generated from various programs, products, and services.
·Proactive communication with members & prospective members to identify needs, retention strategies, changing requirements or potential issues and develop approaches to resolve them accordingly.
·Proactively engage with prospective new members and provide oversight and assistance with new member solicitation, and agreement preparation.
·Provide creative and strategy-focused input and suggestions to enhance the range of membership benefits.
·Foster ongoing positive member relations and provide timely and accurate member reports to the CEO and Board.
·Oversee the planning and management of the Association’s Mentor and Leadership Program.
·Oversee the planning and management of Association annual events (AGM, CWRC, Golf Tournament, Boat Cruise) including program, budgeting, marketing, and financial oversight.
·Manage, market, and enhance the association’s Affinity program by identifying new opportunities and prospective sponsors while maintaining positive relationships with existing sponsors and continually providing value.
·Responsible for the formulation and execution of the strategic marketing plan for the association across multiple platforms (print, online, social media).
·Provide leadership in the production of the association’s communications vehicles including a bi-weekly eNewsletter, Member Bulletins, eBlasts and Association Sourcebook.
·Manages professional services vendors and consultants as required for the successful delivery of Association programs, events, and services.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive combination of salary and benefits. The Association offers some flexibility in working environment with interesting and challenging opportunities in the member services, and events planning field, as well as involvement, as a team member, in the wide variety of activities of a small, dynamic office group.
The office location is in Etobicoke, Ontario and the position requires some flexibility in working hours, and some travel inside Ontario.
