Position Overview


CMH’s Manager, Digital Marketing is a cross-functional role responsible for the management and optimization of paid media campaigns across all marketing channels, as well as measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of paid, earned and owned activities. You pla y a vital role in supporting acquisition and nurturing initiatives for CMH guests and prospects through developing and executing major projects that support lead nurturing, lead scoring, database integrity and targeted marketing campaigns, reporting on campaign ROI, and defining repeatable and actionable processes. You will collaborate with CMH’s Global Sales, Guest Services, Finance and Marketing teams to develop, execute and deploy successful marketing automation programs in support of Demand Generation initiatives.


You will help to drive strategic planning, investment decisions, and budgeting processes, providing tracking, analysis, and insight to produce future successful digital marketing programs. You inspire the evolution of our digital platforms and you work to improve efficiencies whenever possible (e.g. adoption, conversion, etc.).


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assisting in the technical conceptualization of demand creation, nurturing, and future lead scoring program strategies.
  • Monitoring and reporting metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing tactics and programs
  • Acting as the CMH representative and liaison for email database strategy & management within the Alterra network.
  • Performing standardization, List Cleansing, List Development and Data Management including List Uploads and management, and adherence to Privacy & Compliance regulations for current and prospective guests into our CRM.
  • Supporting the ongoing operations of Alterra/CMH Marketing technology systems and platforms
  • Assist with the planning and execution of audience based on-page personalization (experience with Adobe Target an asset)
  • Managing targeted email lists, customizing landing pages & forms
  • Manage CMH’s comprehensive, integrated lead generation engine involving; social media, organic email, events, advertising, programmatic TV, SEO, PPC/SEM, personalization and web analytics and reporting
  • Protect and grow the search rank of all CMH web properties by SEO keyword research and targeting, competitor analysis, and continuous on-page optimization.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Experience managing projects of varying complexity; time management and project management are critical skills.
  • One or more years of marketing automation platform administration experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communications and big desire to improve process and efficiencies.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field. Ideally Computer Science, Marketing or Business
  • Proficiency with email automation software such as Acoustic, Hubspot, Pardot, etc.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, ability to use Visio for technical flow creation and process diagramming.
  • Proficient in programming & Data Science/Visualization languages: HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, REGEXP, R, PYTHON, SQL.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of business performance measurement models.
  • Two or more years of marketing automation program execution and/or system administration of a large scale CRM such as SalesForce, Hubspot, Microsoft Dynamics CE.
  • Strong data evaluation skills, with ability to extract and interpret data.

  • Positive and collaborative working style with an ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Google and Adobe Marketing Clouds.
  • Proven ability to maintain professional working relationships with peers.
  • Able to communicate in an effective and timely manner over the phone, in-person, and in written communication.
  • Able to prioritize tasks efficiently in a complex and fast-paced environment with seasonal workload fluctuations, tight timeframes and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and problem solving.
  • Follows established policies and procedures.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dynamics, Looker Studio, Google Data Studio as well as Posit/RStudio
  • Support guests in the field program during area visits, as needed.
  • Can manage confidential information.
  • Direct to Consumer marketing experience, preferably in software and/or technology.
  • Trustworthy and self-directed in completing the core functions of the role.
  • Has demonstrated exceptional attention-to-detail, with accurate data-entry skills and abilities.
  • Loves using the latest and greatest technology to drive best in class B2C marketing efforts.
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (a big plus but not required).


Working Conditions


  • This position will require occasional travel to CMH areas, as well as some travel to industry functions on an occasional basis.

  • This position is required to assist with Banff operations rescue bell, as needed.
