Business Unit Overview
8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.
Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Coordinator is a critical role in ensuring MRO spare parts inventory and sourcing to meet KPIs for budget, uptime and preventive maintenance of the facility-wide operations. Coordinates contractors for planned maintenance/calibrations of process equipment to comply with personnel and food safety initiatives.  Assists in executing day to day maintenance activities and acts as planner in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leverage CMMS system to receive, enter, and remove parts to ensure parts inventory accuracy
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • Complete accounting functions for maintenance department including: PO issuance and processing, receive and verify documentation for accounts payable, and leading inventory cycle counts periodically to ensure accuracy
  • Participate in maintenance meetings and consistently see continuous improvement ideas to include cost savings and cost avoidance applications
  • Manage outside contractors used for key preventative maintenance programs
  • Maintain supply/store room safety stock and following activities: 5S within the area to ensure organization and appropriate tracking, issue parts from sign out sheets and tracking documents, restock and order parts as needed to maintain appropriate inventory
  • Catalogue maintenance files for entire facility including inspection and repair logs with vendors performing maintenance
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance program, including the scheduling and issuing PM work orders to maintenance team and tracking completion
  • Coordinate the scheduling and tracking of daily work orders
Education and Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently
  • Demonstrates professional and polite demeanor with internal and external customers
  • Pays close attention to detail and completes work accurately and efficiently
  • Self-motivated and manages time efficiently
  • 2+ years manufacturing and/or shipping/receiving experience
  • 2-year vocational or technical degree
  • Experience in a computer maintenance software an advantage
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills
