Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Maintenance Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory and maintenance records by performing administrative tasks.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing general clerical support, including data inputting, processing, and updating; routing correspondence; and maintaining digital records.

• Performing document and file management functions, including e-filing.

• Entering purchase orders.

• Works with the accounting department to ensure receipts and payments are processed accurately.

• Ensure data quality and integrity.

• Photocopying and scanning documents.

• Assist with the department’s involvement in Occupational Health & Safety.

• Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy, research any discrepancies, and make corrective actions.

• Receiving goods and ensuring they are issued to the appropriate work order.

• Maintain a preventative maintenance system and monitor work orders.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Clear and concise communication skills are required to speak with suppliers over the phone and via email to purchase parts, pick up material and obtain technical information.

• Daily contacts include scheduler, operators, supervisors, set-up personnel, engineering and the Manufacturing and Distribution Process Leaders.


Required credentials:

• High school diploma.

• Business/administrative certificate and/or diploma an asset.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

• Valid Driver’s license.

• Must have a focus on safety and adherence to site safety rules.

• Demonstrated capability to interact directly with all levels of employees.

• Superior attention to detail.

• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
