TJP Labs is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team in Pickering. As an integral member of our supply chain team, the Inventory Clerk will be responsible for efficiently managing the inventory of raw materials, finished products, and supplies. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless production processes and timely delivery of products to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
·Inventory Management: Accurately maintain inventory records using appropriate software systems. Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies promptly and implement corrective actions.
·Receiving and Inspecting: Receive incoming shipments, verify the contents against purchase orders, and inspect items for quality and accuracy. Report any damaged or incorrect items to the appropriate department.
·Stock Organization: Organize and arrange inventory in a logical and accessible manner. Label and tag items appropriately to facilitate easy identification and retrieval.
·Inventory Control: Implement best practices to reduce waste and eliminate stockouts. Work closely with the purchasing team to ensure timely reordering of essential items.
·Data Entry: Enter inventory data into the company's database accurately and promptly. Generate reports and assist in inventory analysis as required.
·Stock Rotation: Monitor expiration dates and ensure the FEFO/FIFO method is followed for perishable items to minimize waste.
·Collaborative Support: Collaborate with other departments, such as production and shipping, to facilitate smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
·Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while handling and storing inventory items. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
·Auditing: Participate in periodic inventory audits to maintain data accuracy and identify potential issues proactively.
Qualifications:
·High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications in inventory management or logistics will be a plus.
·Proven experience as an inventory clerk or a related role in a similar industry.
·Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
·Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
·Ability to lift and move heavy items, as required.
·Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
·Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
·Knowledge of industry-specific inventory control procedures is desirable.
