What To Expect
The role of the Lead Inventory Control Specialist role is to provide experience and expertise in performing and leading daily cycle counts, reviewing and trouble-shooting inventory transaction issues, and working closely with Manufacturing and Material Handling to correct issues. The successful candidate is highly competent in using the inventory systems, understands part consumption, and can analyze cycle count data prior to correcting / adjusting inventory. The Associate works cross-functionally with multiple teams to troubleshoot inventory inaccuracies while supporting corrective actions. The Lead Inventory Control Specialist will provide quick and effective coaching. In addition, the role demands data analysis and concise reporting KPI to Finance, and local management, with the primary goal of improving inventory accuracy.
What You’ll Do

• Ability to work independently on daily tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
• Identifies racking/labelling discrepancies and proactively corrects the issues
• Release daily counts for the team, looks over all counts that need approvals and provide root cause
• Ensures daily cycle counts of raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished goods are completed in a timely manner
• Attention to detail and a commitment to identifying data inaccuracies
• Provides coaching/training to new Inventory Control Specialist
• Monitors location aging reports and provides feedback to the materials team to ensure transactions are performed timely and accurately
• At least 2 years of knowledge and experience in warehousing and material handling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate data analysis #SupplyChain
• Trained to operate mobile equipment, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days
• Performs and assists with variance reconciliation, and correction transactions
• Identifies inventory discrepancies, investigates root causes and recommends improvements to cross-functional teams for the purpose of obtaining high levels of inventory accuracy
• Working knowledge of inventory systems (WARP, MOS/MES, SAP or equivalent)
• Strong computer skills especially Excel (intermediate level required)
• Meets or exceeds cycle count objectives and KPI’s each week/month
• Provides accurate cycle count metrics to inventory control and financial leaders
• Must be able to lift up-to 30 lbs. on a regular, and repetitive basis
• Previous experience as a cycle counter / inventory control associate
• Assists with general material handling and inventory control activities as required What You’ll Bring
