General Description:
Under general direction of the VP of Operations, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for Shipping all product from the Lindsay factory. Your main resource for shipping will be written procedures and direction provided by the Production Supervisor.
Characteristics, Features, Requirements:
This is a full-time position requiring strong organization skills. The Logistics Coordinator will be required to lift boxes up to 50lbs. We are a Measurement Canada and ISO-9001 Accredited Company; the Logistics Coordinator must execute diligence to ensure accuracy. Strong computer processing skills are essential, along with professional verbal and written communication skills. During this contract, you are expected to familiarize yourself with the Carma Quality Manual and Carma Health and Safety Manual. You will also demonstrate clearly your ability to work independently and perform all of the technical requirements found with each of the primary work responsibilities described below – Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities.Critical to these responsibilities, is the requirement to complete assigned tasks successfully and on-time.
Reporting:
The Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the Production Supervisor when working in the Production Area. The Logistics Coordinator is required to report as follows, but not limited to:
·Submit weekly activity reports by 9:00 am Monday each week for the prior week.
Important and Essential Duties:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities
1.Ensure accuracy of labels on all products (Job numbers, serial/test numbers and item numbers);
2.Review wiring charts/configurations with the corresponding serial numbers of CTs and PTs on EMP for accuracy;
3.Assemble orders, as per Purchase Order travelers; carefully review for incomplete equipment;
4.Package product, as per procedure, to prevent damage (including static damage) during transit;
5.Review and follow-up on orders entered through sales orders for accuracy and completion;
6.Accurately create shipping forms/packing slips created in SAGE.
7.Coordinate courier pickups, review shipping labels for valid and correct ship to information to ensure equipment is delivered on time to the correct location;
8.Maintain the accuracy and integrity of “Reserved Inventory” location in Sage, and complete a monthly reconciliation report;
9.Comply with guidelines set out for proper handling procedures while within the designated anti-static board assembly areas;
10.Provide supplementary or backup coverage for assembly and/or wiring of equipment;
11.Interact with others in a professional manner;
12.Attention to detail is very important e.g. Record Keeping & Equipment Quality Assurance must be accurate;
13.Willingness to learn and offer suggestions for improvement is encouraged.
