As Lead Quality Engineer in Data Engineering, you will be working to provide Quality and automated testing strategies and leading a group of Quality and Engineering professionals and expected to have in-depth knowledge of current industry-wide testing techniques and test automation tools. You will be responsible in building quality strategy and standards across the team by defining and implementing detailed, comprehensive automated test strategy and leading the day-to-day testing. Work with program leadership to resolve issues and testing risks.

Role-Specific Accountabilities

• Work collaboratively with cross functional teams and infuse quality in every phase of SDLC
• Maximize test automation coverage by bringing in “automation first” mindset and look for opportunities to shift-left testing in the delivery process
• Develop and execute test strategies and test plans with a focus on optimized coverage across work streams.
• Design test architectures (Test automation frameworks, code libraries etc.), automation standards and procedures, for the team to use across various platforms.
• Developing, enhancing and executing manual and automated functional tests
• Monitor the effectiveness of the Test automation and bring about improvements through insights gained via analysis at various stages of test automation to ensure stability, efficiency and scalability
• Participate in project review meetings to determine status, problem areas, and rework and re-plan activities
• Identify and select industry best practices, to support continuous process improvements and efficiencies in the overall QE processes and implement test metrics culture to demonstrate continuous improvements
• Lead and mentor a team of QE professionals and drive testing priorities to achieve the necessary business outcomes

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge/Competencies/Capabilities

• Hands on experience ETL, data quality/completeness validation
• Ability to learn new concepts, and adapt to changing priorities and new challenges
• Experience with Agile Scrum/Kanban processes, and work management tools: JIRA, Confluence
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training
• Experience with QA processes and methodologies required, automated and manual test processes, test planning, test cases design, scripting, execution, automated test tools, regression testing
• Experienced in interacting and coordinating test activities amongst multiple teams and ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Python with experience in development and maintenance of Test Automation Frameworks / Test Harness
• Hands on experience working with UI automation tools like Selenium, Playwright/Cypress, UFT, and API test automation tools like Postman, SoapUI etc.
• 5+ years of QE experience in related roles(s)
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience leading QA/QE initiatives
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Demonstrated analytical and negotiation skills, and close attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills – Good To Have

• Experience in DevOps tools like Codebase, Kubernetes, and/or Jenkins
• Knowledge of financial markets
• Knowledge of AWS/and or Azure
