Labourer - Warehouse And Yard Worker

One of our clients who specializes in the installation of network infrastructures Is looking for 2 experienced, driven, and team-oriented labourers who are open to working both in the warehouse and in the yard doing order picking, forklift operating, and loading and unloading. The chosen person must also have experience with shipping and receiving and is comfortable using computers
Location: Carp Rd. Ottawa – Not bus accessible
Rate – 20 – 21/hr.
Shift – operational hours are from 8am – 5pm (must be available within those times)
Monday – Fridays (No weekends!)
Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Order picking in both the warehouse and the yard
• Inputting information in the database system provided
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the warehouse and the warehouse
• Using a Forklift and other equipment to handle the material
• Submitting reports to the supervisor as needed
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Packing orders and preparing for shipment

Qualifications

• Must have no issues working outdoors all year round
• Loves working with a team
• Experience in forklift operation is a definite asset
• Must be able to use a computer
• Must be comfortable with physical labor – handling heavier materials, constant lifting, and constant movement around the warehouse and the yard
• Is independent and has good problem-solving skills
• Must have experience in warehouse work – specifically picking, packing and material handling
